A leading NHS Trust is looking for a Specialist Grade in Nephrology to provide part-time (7 sessions per week) nephrology services in the Peterborough area. The role includes inpatient care, outpatient clinics, and consultation across multiple hospitals. The ideal candidate will have a Specialist Register for Nephrology and clinical training equivalent to UK CCT. This position offers a competitive salary ranging from £100,870 to £111,441 pro rata per annum and promotes a healthy work-life balance.

This is a e Nephrology post for 7 programmed activities a week at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust (NWAFT)
To work with consultant colleagues to further develop and deliver a modern responsive nephrology services across the wider Peterborough and Huntingdon area, in particular:
- 7 day a week inpatient dialysis at Peterborough City Hospital (PCH)
- AKI and general nephrology service at Hinchingbrooke Hospital (HH)
- Home-based renal replacement therapy
· The post holder will be expected to participate in future renal service developments, most notably the expansion of the unit-based and home dialysis programme, provision of 7 day a week inpatient acute dialysis at PCH, setting up AKI and general nephrology services at HH, and strengthening our link with primary care to improve CKD care.
· Inpatient care for patients with renal conditions at PCH ward A8.
· Prompt in-patient renal consult service to other medical and surgical specialties.
· Provision of renal outpatient clinics at PCH, Stamford Hospital, HH, and Johnson Community Hospital.
· Lead the development of and provide inpatient AKI services at PCH and HH.
· To work with the established consultants to ensure equitable provision of nephrology services across the whole of the trust. This will include collaborative working, mutual cover for annual and study leave, and ensuring adherence to principles of clinical governance.
· Lead on the provision of outpatient dialysis services, in collaboration with our renal tertiary care partners and home care team, including provision of out of hours telephone advice for the dialysis units and main hospitals.
· Participation in the Renal on-call rota (1:6).
· Supervise and train junior medical staff, including doctors and nurses.
· Commitment to medical audit, continuing professional development (CPD) and annual revalidation.
