Job summary
A healthcare provider in Rochester seeks a Cardiovascular Tech I to conduct Electrocardiograms and Stress Tests, supporting physicians in assessing cardiovascular health. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing patients and ensuring accurate testing procedures while possessing a high school diploma and basic cardiology technology training. This role involves patient interaction, requiring strong communication skills, and may assist in training new employees. Certification in Basic Life Support is mandatory, ensuring protocols for caring for patients are upheld.
Qualifications
- Must maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Completion of a hospital-approved cardiology technology program or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of 12-lead electrocardiographic lead placement.
Responsibilities
- Supports physicians in assessing patients’ cardiovascular systems.
- Conducts Electrocardiograms and Stress Tests.
- Instructs patients in post-procedure activities.
