Proactive Personnel ltd are currently recruiting for our client based in the Redditch area for an experienced CAD Designer / Operator.

You will be responsible for producing high-quality 2D and 3D CAD drawings, working on a variety of fabrication and structural projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in fabrication, steel structures, and mechanical engineering.

Key Duties

• Create detailed 2D technical drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and Inventor software.
• Work closely with engineers and designers to develop mechanical and structural components.
• Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, tolerances, and fabrication requirements.
• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Assist in design modifications
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams, engineers, and clients.
  
  

To Be Considered For This Role, You Must Have

• Proven experience as a Draughtsperson with a mechanical and structural bias.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD and Inventor).
• Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, welding, and steelwork structures.
• Understanding of mechanical and structural design principles.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with engineers, production teams, and clients.
  
  

We are looking to pay around £28,000 - £35,000 depending on experience. We are able to consider all levels of experience from graduates through to experienced CAD designers (salary will be reflective of experience).

An immediate start is available and this role could be either permanent or temp to perm to suit your individual situation.
