Job summary
A well-established company in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Finance Director to optimize financial performance and provide strategic guidance. This role requires a fully qualified accountant with over 5 years of experience managing budgets and leading a finance team. The ideal candidate should have experience working at board level and a background in manufacturing or engineering is preferred. This full-time, permanent position offers a competitive salary.
Qualifications
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience.
- Experience at board or senior leadership team level.
Responsibilities
- Lead finance and accounting strategy to optimise financial performance.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial controls.
- Manage financial risk, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Education
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Finance Director to join a well-established business.
Reporting to the MD, the Finance Director will be responsible for ensuring the financial viability of the company while supporting strategic growth across all departments.
- Lead the finance and accounting strategy to optimise financial performance
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the MD and senior leadership team
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial controls
- Ensure accurate and timely management accounts and board reporting
- Manage financial risk and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
- Lead, develop, and performance-manage the finance team
- Support business growth initiatives and system improvements
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent)
- Current member of CIMA/ACCA or equivalent
- Member of IoD, CMI or equivalent professional body
- Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience
- Proven experience managing multi-million-pound budgets
- Experience working at board/SLT level
- Background in manufacturing or engineering preferred
- Strong leadership, commercial awareness, and strategic mindset
