Role Summary

Associate Director, Commercial Learning & Capability Delivery – Enzymes Therapies, EMEA & APAC
London - hybrid role

As Associate Director, Commercial Capability & Learning Delivery – Enzyme Therapies, you will serve as a regional capability architect for EMEA, Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and Africa. This is not a traditional training role. You will be responsible for transforming the capabilities of field and marketing teams, ensuring they are prepared to win in complex markets and deliver life-changing outcomes for patients with rare diseases.

You will collaborate closely with leaders, field stakeholders, and marketing to understand regional needs and proactively design and deliver scalable programs that drive commercial excellence. Beyond execution, you’ll champion your region’s perspective in global strategy, ensuring global learning plans are relevant, compliant, and commercially impactful in your markets, while continuously informing and shaping the global roadmap.

Key Responsibilities
  • Spearhead the design and delivery of transformative capability programs for Enzyme Therapies across EMEA and APAC. Deliver learning in competitive selling, scientific fluency, HCP engagement, omnichannel marketing excellence, and launch readiness, utilizing a blend of in-person, virtual, and on-demand learning formats.
  • Partner with global colleagues to co-develop the Global Learning Plan and translate it into a regional roadmap that aligns to immediate commercial priorities.
  • Serve as a global-to-local connector, ensuring programs like the Guest Trainer Program, Competitive Readiness Playbook, and Omnichannel Mastery Program resonate regionally while scaling globally.
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools and digital platforms to design and personalize curricula across modalities (in-person, virtual, on-demand), improving quality, speed, scalability, and retention.
  • Act as a competitive readiness shaper, co-developing regional contributions to the global playbook that build rigor, confidence, and a winning mindset in the field.
  • Reinvent how virtual learning is delivered in the region, ensuring digital experiences are engaging, impactful, and compliant.
  • Cultivate strong partnerships with field, marketing, medical affairs, and market access leaders, anticipating needs and proactively designing solutions that drive business performance.
  • Manage regional vendors, budgets, and contracts, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective delivery that meets regulatory standards.
  • Ensure all learning programs are designed, delivered, and validated in strict alignment with pharma compliance, regulation, and validation standards, maintaining audit readiness.
  • Use learner feedback, business outcomes, and analytics to continuously improve program design and demonstrate measurable impact.
Qualifications & Experience

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Science required, advanced degree preferred.

Experience
Minimum of 7 years of demonstrated success in sales training and/or sales experience within biotech or specialty pharmaceutical areas (e.g., oncology, cardiovascular), with a proven track record of assuming progressively increasing responsibilities and leadership roles over time. Extensive experience in designing and delivering Therapy Area and Product Training programs is required. Experience with product launches, specialty pharmaceutical environment/rare disease is strongly preferred. Proficient in leveraging Learning Management Systems to optimize training delivery and learner engagement.

Standout Skills
  • Capability Architect, not just a Trainer – Bring strong business acumen and systems thinking to design ecosystems that transform commercial capabilities, not just deliver courses.
  • Facilitation Excellence – An engaging presenter and coach who can deliver transformative learning experiences that shift mindsets and behaviors.
  • Instructional Design & Delivery Mastery – Deep expertise in adult learning principles, with the ability to both design and personally deliver programs that resonate with learners.
  • Scientifically Grounded – Demonstrates fluency in clinical data, disease state education, and product mechanisms of action to ensure scientific accuracy and credibility.

  • Competitive & Leadership Builder – Experience shaping competitive readiness initiatives and scaling leadership through peer-led programs such as Guest Trainer.
  • Omnichannel Marketing Enabler – Knowledge of omnichannel strategy with the ability to upskill marketing teams in modern digital engagement practices.
  • Compliant-by-Design Innovator – Deep expertise in pharma compliance, regulation, and validation; skilled at embedding audit-ready processes into program design.
  • AI & Digital Pioneer – Proficiency with AI-powered learning tools and digital platforms to accelerate design, personalize experiences, and scale innovation across regions.
  • Strategic Partner & Storyteller – Exceptional ability to influence Field, and Marketing leaders, translating learning solutions into measurable commercial impact.
  • Cross-Cultural Leader – Fluent in adapting global programs for diverse regions, ensuring cultural, linguistic, and regulatory relevance.
  • Empathy-Driven Mindset – Passion for improving the lives of patients with rare diseases through better-prepared commercial teams.
Why Join This Team?
  • Global Impact – Shape the capabilities of teams across 70+ countries in your region.
  • Innovation at Scale – Lead the way in AI-enabled learning and adaptive training models.
