Join Our Board as Treasurer – Community Moorings Scotland
Are you passionate about Scotland’s waterways and want to make a real difference?
Community Moorings Scotland (CMS) is looking for a Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees.
CMS is a registered Scottish charity dedicated to creating and managing community-led moorings that protect our canal heritage while supporting sustainable, inclusive waterside communities.
CMS has been operating one site near Linlithgow which went live in May 2022.
As Treasurer and Trustee, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the charity’s financial health, accountability, and long-term sustainability. You’ll work collaboratively with fellow trustees and our management team to oversee budgets, maintain sound financial governance, and help guide CMS’s strategic direction.

What we’re looking for:
Experience in finance, accounting, or bookkeeping (a professional qualification is helpful but not essential)
Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills
Commitment to CMS’s mission and values
Willingness to serve as an active trustee, contributing to board discussions and decision-making
Around 4–6 hours per month to attend meetings and support financial oversight
