We are seeking an enthusiastic, student-focused Careers Advisor to deliver high-quality, impartial careers education, information, advice and guidance across KS3, KS4 and Sixth Form. The role centres on helping students explore future pathways, make informed Post-16 and Post-18 decisions, and raise their aspirations. You will provide one-to-one and group guidance, prioritise support for vulnerable students, and offer advice on careers, education, training and employment routes. The role also involves coordinating key careers activities such as destination tracking, UCAS support, work experience, and careers events, as well as maintaining resources and ensuring compliance with CEIAG standards. Working collaboratively with staff, parents, employers and external organisations, you will play a key role in ensuring students receive the guidance and opportunities they need to progress confidently into their next steps.
We are seeking an empathetic, confident and well-organised professional with strong communication skills who can work independently, stay calm under pressure and build positive relationships with people from diverse backgrounds. You will need strong administrative and IT skills, a good general education including GCSE English and Maths, and a Level 4 qualification in Careers Information and Advice (or equivalent), with willingness to progress to Level 6. You should have recent experience delivering high-quality careers guidance—both one-to-one and in groups—along with a good understanding of education, skills and labour-market trends. Experience in an educational setting, familiarity with careers tools and creative technologies, and higher-level qualifications or CDI registration are desirable.
