A Dorset-based food manufacturing company is seeking a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer for its Poole facility. The role requires a qualified engineer with electrical bias and some mechanical skills. Responsibilities include maximizing equipment efficiency and ensuring planned maintenance tasks are completed. A Dorset‑based food manufacturing company is looking to recruit a multi‑skilled Maintenance Engineer for their production facility in the Poole/Bournemouth area.
- Multi‑skilled, either electrically or mechanically biased will be considered
- Panama shifts – Days and Nights (12 hour) 5.15–17.15 and 17.15–5.15
- Opportunity to work in a modern food manufacturer
- Salary of approximately £51k
- Subsidised canteen
- On‑site free parking
- Assist the team to work towards maximum plant and equipment efficiency so downtime is minimised
- Ensure planned engineering tasks are delivered on time and in full
- Ensure good repair/manufacturing practices and procedures are followed
- Ensure completion of planned maintenance documents/CMMS
- Work closely with production staff to achieve daily targets
- Contribute to cost‑reduction initiatives to drive efficiency and process improvements
- Qualified maintenance engineer with C&G's or NVQ Level 3, ideally ONC/HNC level
- Multi‑skilled, electrically biased with some mechanical skills/experience
- Apprenticeship trained
- Proactive attitude to solving issues and supporting production
- Manufacturing/production experience required
