Maintenance Engineer – Newbury New England LLC

A Dorset‑based food manufacturing company is looking to recruit a multi‑skilled Maintenance Engineer for their production facility in the Poole/Bournemouth area.

Role
  • Multi‑skilled, either electrically or mechanically biased will be considered
  • Panama shifts – Days and Nights (12 hour) 5.15–17.15 and 17.15–5.15
  • Opportunity to work in a modern food manufacturer

Key Responsibilities of Maintenance Engineer
  • Assist the team to work towards maximum plant and equipment efficiency so downtime is minimised
  • Ensure planned engineering tasks are delivered on time and in full
  • Ensure good repair/manufacturing practices and procedures are followed
  • Ensure completion of planned maintenance documents/CMMS
  • Work closely with production staff to achieve daily targets
  • Contribute to cost‑reduction initiatives to drive efficiency and process improvements
Experience and Skills Required of Maintenance Engineer
  • Qualified maintenance engineer with C&G's or NVQ Level 3, ideally ONC/HNC level
  • Multi‑skilled, electrically biased with some mechanical skills/experience
  • Apprenticeship trained
  • Proactive attitude to solving issues and supporting production
  • Manufacturing/production experience required
