In this role, you'll apply technical precision, collaborate with project teams, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong technical drawing skills and relevant design experience. A competitive salary of £30,000 – £35,000 per annum is offered, along with various benefits.
Are you a detail-oriented design professional with a passion for technical precision and continuous improvement? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Design Technician, where you will play a key role in delivering high-quality 2D and 3D modelling outputs that support innovative and integrated design solutions.
In this role, you will produce accurate and detailed 2D and 3D models and drawing sets, applying relevant design calculations and best practices to ensure all outputs meet technical standards and specifications. Working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders, you will continually refine and improve the quality and efficiency of your work.
Your ability to liaise effectively across project teams will be crucial. As part of our commitment to Lean and Continuous Improvement, you’ll be encouraged to use CI tools and techniques to identify efficiencies and eliminate waste. Your input will also be valued in product development discussions, collaborating across departments to support innovation and product enhancements.
In addition, you’ll help build and maintain our internal design libraries and suites of standardised product details that reflect typical use-cases, contributing to a robust foundation for future design work.
If you enjoy mentoring others, there will be opportunities to support junior team members and share your expertise, helping to drive knowledge and skill development across the department.
If you’re looking for a varied and rewarding role where your technical skill, creativity, and collaboration will make a real impact—apply now and be part of a forward-thinking, dynamic team.
Job Purpose: As a Senior Designer, you will produce detailed technical drawings across varying levels of complexity, using engineering calculations to specify the most effective Dura components. You’ll work closely with Project Managers, Production, and Engineering teams to resolve technical queries and deliver practical, considered solutions.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring that all agreed design deadlines are met. When issues arise outside of your control, you’ll be expected to communicate clearly, early, and effectively to minimise schedule impact. Success in this role relies on strong communication, attention to detail, and accurate project reporting via our internal project management systems.
