Role description
Arcadis is currently looking to recruit a Leader to join our Geospatial, Data and Visualisation stream (GDV) in our UK Environmental Planning business. The role is technical lead for Geospatial, Data and Visualisation, within our UK Landscape, Masterplanning and Urbanism (LMU) Team, with the aim of growing the team’s capability and presence. You will help shape and deliver our geospatial strategy, define best practices, mentor colleagues, lead new initiatives and directly contribute to our global success. If you’re passionate about GIS, AI, and Machine Learning, thrive in dynamic teams and want to make a real‑world impact with geospatial technology, we want to hear from you.
You will act as a technical and commercial manager, providing leadership and support across the team, as well as liaising with Arcadis’ global GIS user community. You will act as a point of contact for new opportunities and have a track record of business development and converting opportunities into project work.
Currently the role will primarily focus on GIS, so you must have a deep knowledge of GIS and its associated technologies and an understanding of the Geospatial market in relation to natural and built asset consulting. This should cover data capture, processing, and management and map production. The data and visualisation aspects of the role will focus on strengthening existing skill sets around 3D modelling and high‑end rendered imagery while also looking to develop new areas of technical knowledge around real‑time development, digital innovation and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
You will coordinate the delivery of project‑related tasks to meet budget, time‑frame and quality targets, meeting or exceeding client expectations. You will promote Arcadis in all interfaces with clients and your network and lead relevant pursuits to drive the continued growth of the business.
