We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.Due to the anticipated response to this post it may close before the closing date noted on the advert therefore once you start your application form please complete it immediately.The shift pattern for this post is fully rotational 12.5 hour shifts worked on days, nights and weekends.Assists with the nursing care of the patient under the supervision of a trained nurse. This will include all basic care including the reception, admission, transfer and discharge of the patient according to procedure.Ensure patients receive the care and assistance required/prescribed with fluid and nutritional intake.Observes and reports any change in the condition of the patient and communicates this verbally to the nurse in charge.Assists the patient unable to self care with personal hygiene and dressing, adhering to all manual handling procedures and policies.Carries out and assists with minor investigatory procedures e.g.: Urinalysis, Faecal Occult Blood testing and Urine collections as required.
