Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at Little Legs Day Nursery & Pre School.

At Little Legs our aim is to provide high quality care to the children and their families. We offer a safe, secure and stimulating environment focusing on the children’s individual needs and interests, which will support them as they develop and grow, while following the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.

Our nursery has a range of age-appropriate toys, books and play equipment, with a fully enclosed and secure outside play area which includes: a mud kitchen, water and sand tables and a bug hotel.

We care for children aged from 6 months to 5 years. The nursery is split into two rooms: the Under 2’s and Over 2’s. Both rooms are at ground level and your child has full access to the outdoor play area.

We recognise the importance of a parent’s role in the nursery and work hard to foster a good partnership with parents developing strong and positive relationships for the benefit of your child.

We are situated just at the bottom of Pickhurst Lane, next to a dentist and opposite a handy row of shops. The residential streets nearby allow for easy drop off and pick up.

We have lots of fun activities that encourage children to use their imagination.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

• Be able to work towards the following on apprenticeship.
• Be an inspiring practitioner with a sound knowledge of child development.
• Be proficient in leading the delivery of all aspects of teaching and learning.
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Display a caring and nurturing attitude towards the children in your care
• Learn how to become a designated key person for an allocated number of children.
• To observe, plan and assess children’s learning and development within the EYFS framework.
• Develop positive partnership with parents and staff.
• Be committed to completing your L3 EYE

Requirements;

• Preferably have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or willing to work towards them

• Little Legs Day Nursery & Pre School is open from 8:00am – 6:00pm Monday to Friday
• The successful candidate will be required to work 30 hours per week, but flexible when needed
