Overview

Community Children's Speech and Language Therapist B6

We are seeking a motivated Speech and Language Therapist to work in the Children’s Speech and Language Therapy Team covering the North Cumbria area. Working as part of an integrated team you will be required to work with children and young people with a range of speech, language and communication needs, their families and supporting agencies.

Responsibilities
  • Work as a member of the paediatric team, providing a speech and language therapy service for pre-school and school age children referred to the service.
  • Promote health and reduce inequalities for children, young people, families and communities, so that they may maximise their potential in terms of health, education and social well‑being.
  • Work as a member of the integrated team for children throughout the district to ensure high quality coordinated patient care using a Care Aims approach.
  • Accept an agreed range of patients and manage a delegated caseload, providing interventions in appropriate environments (e.g., clinics, special schools and child development centres).
  • Work with children and young people with a range of speech, language and communication needs, their families and supporting agencies.

Relocation assistance may be available for successful applicants moving to the region for certain posts. This role may be suitable for individuals returning to practice.
