Salary: £45,000 + benefits
- Asphalt Manager will lead the day-to-day operations of asphalt testing and quality assurance, ensuring all testing meets industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
- You’ll be responsible for supervising site testing, coordinating team activities, ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies, and acting as a key point of contact for clients.
- Effective resource management and the consistent delivery of high-quality asphalt testing services are critical to this role.
- Oversee daily asphalt testing and quality assurance activities.
- Supervise asphalt site testing and related laboratory work.
- Coordinate team workloads and project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Liaise with clients and provide technical support and updates.
- Manage resources to maintain high-quality service delivery.
- Extensive knowledge of asphalt site testing, bituminous laboratory testing, and pavement investigations.
- Excellent understanding of asphalt and asphalt testing methodologies.
- Strong leadership, project management, and team coordination skills.
- Familiarity with H&S and environmental compliance within construction and civil engineering.
- Excellent communication skills for client liaison and report writing.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in materials testing or civil engineering (preferred).
- Previous experience in a similar role within materials testing or civil engineering.
