Are you a passionate Speech and Language Therapist looking to make a real difference? Our client, based in the beautiful surroundings of Surrey, is seeking a dedicated professional to join their team. The role involves working with students aged 5‑19 with severe social communication difficulties and complex learning disabilities, many of whom have autism.

Our client operates in a serene 23‑acre site on the edge of the Surrey Hills, providing a nurturing environment for students with complex needs. They are committed to delivering high‑quality therapy and education, focusing on enhancing students’ independence and communication skills.

  • Devise and implement therapy for individuals and small groups
  • Manage a caseload of students, setting termly targets
  • Conduct assessments for student admissions and annual reviews

  • Provide assessments of service users using standardised and non‑standardised tools

Speech and Language Therapist – Merton Council (Hybrid)
  • Assess children and develop/implement specialist speech and language therapy treatment to ensure that the Council achieves its strategic aims for all pupils
  • Contribute to the LB Merton policy and approach to raising achievement and establishing provision for all pupils
  • Provide a specialist speech and language therapy service to Merton schools and settings
  • Work as a member of the Merton Speech and Language Therapy Service and SENDIS and so contribute to building the capacity of Merton Schools to include pupils with SEN and disabilities

Requirements:

  • Experience of training and supporting TAs/LSAs in delivering SLCN programmes
  • Qualified Therapist status

Speech and Language Therapist – HMP Belmarsh (Full Time)
  • Provide assessments of service users based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of information
  • Provide timely and accurate reports that provide a diagnosis, assessment and recommendations and comply with best practice guidelines
  • Communicate in a skilled and sensitive manner, information concerning the communication assessment, formulation and treatment plans of service users and to monitor progress during the course of both individual and multi‑disciplinary care
  • Work with service users and other members of the MDT to achieve identified goals and to promote social inclusion, independence and wellbeing
