I am currently seeking a personal assistant to support me in accessing the community and staying safe while out. I have epilepsy with varying seizure levels, so you must have experience working with individuals with epilepsy and be able to identify seizures.

I live with my parents, brother and nephew and own two old English bulldogs; you must be an animal lover and not frightened of reptiles, snakes or spiders, which I also keep as pets. I also have occasional episodes of depression.

• Personal Care Support – there are no direct personal‑care duties, but you may need to offer prompts or assistance after seizures.
• Daily Living Support – assistance with social activities and accessing the community; you must be able to identify my medications and their purpose; I enjoy trips to Newcastle, shopping, dining, bowling, the beach (prefer to avoid sand), arcades, Spanish City, cinema, comedy, crazy golf, gaming, music and TV (especially Mrs Brown’s Boys).
• Mobility & Transport – support accessing and navigating public transport; holding a full, clean UK driving licence is essential if you are a driver.

• Physically fit – able to support my body weight and keep me safe.
• Able to follow instructions carefully, work with sensitivity and respect boundaries and personal space.
• Experienced working with adults with epilepsy and understanding of mental health presentations.
• Bubbly, happy, talkative, outgoing, upbeat, positive, compassionate and patient with communication difficulties.
• Good at taking initiative yet comfortable being guided by me or my parents.
• Responsible, detail‑oriented and vigilant at all times.

I am a sociable young woman who enjoys my independence and is ready to go solo with the right supporter. I love shopping, good food, especially carbonara, and lively conversation. My epilepsy can be severe, with absent seizures where I am unaware; there are tell‑tale signs to look out for. I communicate verbally, though sometimes struggle with pronunciation; patience is appreciated.

My PA should have a good sense of humour and see the funny side of life. I am looking for a long‑term PA with whom I can build strong rapport. I’m a bit of a diva – all the best people are! I look forward to hearing from you if you feel we could be a dynamic duo.
