This role involves working closely with site management to promote safe behaviours, perform audits, and enhance compliance. Candidates should have NEBOSH or similar qualifications and experience in health and safety within a distribution or packaging environment. We are now looking for a Health and Safety Officer to support our operations teams and help strengthen our health and safety culture across the business.
You will work closely with site management to improve current systems, promote safe behaviours and support compliance across the operation. The role involves developing practical solutions, monitoring performance, coaching colleagues, reviewing risk assessments, carrying out audits and inspections, and helping to implement strategies that ensure a safe, compliant and proactive working environment. You will also deliver training, toolbox talks and inductions, and provide clear communication on health and safety matters to teams and stakeholders.

You will bring NEBOSH or similar H&S qualifications, good IT skills and a full clean driving licence. You will have experience in health and safety, ideally in a distribution or packaging environment, along with strong communication, relationship building and organisational skills. You should be comfortable influencing positive behaviours, delivering training and working both independently and as part of a team. Experience in auditing or the food sector is useful but not essential.
