This is an exciting opportunity to work on a modern data platform that underpins products providing data and insights across the aviation industry.**Responsibilities**As a Senior Software Engineer II, you will:* Design, build, test, and maintain scalable and resilient data platform services.* Peer review code to promote best practice and continuous improvement.* Respond to support requests to keep other teams in Cirium running with our Data Platform.* Apply **Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)** principles to ensure system reliability and performance.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software aligned with business goals.* Demonstrate **self-leadership** by taking ownership of initiatives and driving them to completion.* Foster a culture of **curiosity**, continuous learning, and technical excellence within the team.* Keep abreast of new technology developments and bring these into the business, particularly GenAI.**Requirements*** A minimum of 5 years’ experience in software engineering or a related field (equivalent experience and non-traditional backgrounds are welcome).* Strong communication skills, with an ability to share ideas and designs effectively through documentation and collaboration.* Experience working with **data platforms**, distributed systems, and data pipelines in cloud-native environments.* Solid understanding of **SRE practices**, including observability, incident response, and automation.* Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.* Proficiency with Git and Github, Terraform, AWS environments, python.
