We’ve got an exciting opportunity for a friendly, dependable, and enthusiastic individual to join our award-winning team as a Retail Assistant.

Job: Retail Assistant
Hours: 17 Hours - This role requires weekday and weekend availability, so it’s not suitable for those in full-time education.
Location: Kirkcaldy, Hendry Road

This position is for our new shop opening in early 2026. If successful the candidate will complete training in one of our other shops before transitioning over to our new shop in early 2026.

As a Retail Assistant, you’re the face of Stephens – serving up smiles and delicious baked goods in every shift. Here’s what your day could look like:

• Provide excellent customer service at all times – this is your number one priority.
• Help create a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the shop.
• Answer questions about products and make recommendations when asked.
• Follow daily routines and task lists for cleaning, stocking, and food preparation.
• Carry out tasks as delegated by the Management or Senior Sales
• Follow food safety procedures and checklists, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Support the team by staying flexible and willing to help wherever needed
• Keep the shop clean, tidy, and well-stocked throughout the day.
• Make sure displays look their best and product quality is maintained.
• Follow stock rotation procedures
• Work well with others on shift, sharing tasks fairly and helping out during busy periods.
