Job summary
An educational institution in Aylesbury is looking for a qualified teacher to join as a Food Technology instructor. This role offers full-time hours with the possibility of extending into a longer-term contract. The ideal candidate will deliver engaging lessons, develop a curriculum that fosters a love for cooking, and maintain a positive learning environment. If you are passionate about teaching and inspiring students regarding food science and healthy living, we want to hear from you!
Qualifications
- Must have QTS and a relevant degree in Food Technology or a related field.
- Previous experience teaching Food Technology at the secondary school level is preferred but not essential.
- A genuine passion for teaching and inspiring young people.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that meets national standards.
- Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain a positive learning environment and manage classroom behaviour.
- Organize extracurricular activities related to Food Technology.
- Stay current with educational practices and trends.
