A leading mental health support organization located in Chester is seeking a compassionate Band 5 Counsellor to enhance their mental health services for individuals with neurological conditions. The successful candidate will provide both in-person and virtual counselling, addressing a variety of emotional and social issues. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree and experience in person-centred counselling. The Neuro Therapy Centre provides life-changing support to adults living with neurological conditions and their Carers. Through physical and emotional therapies, we help people navigate the emotional, physical and practical challenges that can follow a diagnosis. We are now seeking a compassionate and motivated Band 5 Counsellor to join our multidisciplinary team and contribute to our growing mental-health support services.
About the Role
As a Band 5 Counsellor, you will play a vital role in improving the emotional wellbeing and resilience of people with neurological conditions and their Carers. You will work face-to-face and virtually – supporting people facing a wide range of personal, emotional, and social issues linked to disability, life changes, caring responsibilities, and loss.
You will provide structured, person-centred counselling and assessment, contribute to further developing our holistic mental-health offering, and collaborate closely with the wider team to ensure high-quality, joined-up care.
