Job summary

A healthcare service provider in Wishaw is seeking a dedicated Radiographer to join their Radiology team. The successful candidate will authorize and perform essential Radiographic examinations, while providing excellent care and high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients. The role requires valid HCPC registration, strong teamwork, and effective communication skills. Job description
The Role

To authorise and perform Radiographic examinations, providing direct care and a high quality diagnostic imaging service for the management of patients referred from clinicians and other referrers in NHS Lanarkshire.

What we’ll need you to bring
  • Registered Radiographer with valid HCPC Registration
  • The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative
  • Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Working knowledge of basic information technology
  • A driving licence is required; this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
It would be great if you also have
  • BSc Honours in Radiography
  • Training/refresher on Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations 2000
  • Evidence of clinical training and personal motivation
  • Evidence of general radiography experience either as a qualified radiographer or as a student radiographer
  • Ability to liaise with medical, clerical, nursing and other radiographic staff
Contract type

Fixed Term (4 Months)

Full time

37 Hours

Please note this is a 4 months fixed term post. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.

Location

This role will be based in Radiology within University Hospital Wishaw. Whilst this advertisement may be for a specific post(s) in a particular location, applicants who are shortlisted for interview may be considered for similar vacancies in alternative locations.
