We solve the world’s most complex problems and deliver what seems impossible, with curiosity and creativity. We’re a thriving and growing organisation, offering you many possibilities to shape a better world and your future.

In an increasingly competitive marketplace, our Marketing, Communications and Business Development (MCBD) team enables Arup to build and protect its reputation, deepen client relationships, win quality work, and attract top talent. This part‑time Resources Sr. Marketing Coordinator role will strengthen our MCBD function and support the development of Arup’s strategic marketing approach for the Resources Business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of a client‑led, strategic marketing approach for business marketing and ensure its implementation and alignment with Arup’s Integrated Business Plan, long‑range business priorities, and shorter‑term opportunity pipeline.
  • Implement, monitor, and role‑model standard approaches to business marketing planning in collaboration with business and service marketers to achieve consistency and maintain quality.
  • Advise Business Leaders, their leadership teams, and regional marketers on effective marketing and communications approaches and evolving marketing skills and capacity to support successful achievement of business plans and priorities.
  • Collaborate with global service and business marketers, regional marketers, the Global Pursuits and Global Client Leads, and communications and corporate affairs colleagues to ensure efficient, effective delivery of planned business marketing activity and alignment with client relationship management and priority pursuits plans.
  • Work with the Global Market Research Lead to commission market research that generates actionable insights and recommendations to inform business plans and priorities.
  • Build a strong understanding of market trends and dynamics, competitor positioning and client needs to inform marketing plans.
  • Collaborate with teams led by the Global Head of Business Growth and Systems, Global Marketing Strategy, Planning and Development, Global Head of Corporate Communications, and Global Head of Corporate Affairs and Partnerships to establish agreed metrics and a programme of regular reporting to support effective measurement and analysis of the reach and impact of business marketing.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and management of a marketing and communications scheduling system, working collaboratively with the Global Head of Corporate Communications to ensure scheduling supports our businesses.
Qualifications & Accreditation

Undergraduate degree, further degree, or experience equivalent to a degree, preferably in Marketing, Business, Management, Commerce, or Economics; and/or a postgraduate professional qualification or accreditation in marketing.

Knowledge and Experience
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing, with a proven track record in marketing high‑value services in a large, multinational organisation.
  • Experience in a similar strategic marketing role, including marketing planning and delivery.
  • Deep understanding of market dynamics and client needs relevant to Arup’s business and broader industry context, including knowledge of political, economic and social trends.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, including market, competitor and client analysis.
Skills and Attributes
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening and influencing.
  • Proven ability to build effective organisational networks and trust‑based, collaborative working relationships with reports, peers, leaders and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • High level of personal integrity, professionalism, and inclusive leadership. Commitment to exemplifying Arup’s aims, particularly those of being a ‘humane organisation’, maintaining ‘quality of work’, and ‘straight and honourable dealings’.
