A major utility contractor is seeking a Project Engineer to support the Project Manager in delivering Overhead Line and Substation projects across the UK. This role involves ensuring health, safety, and quality standards while managing site operations and subcontractors. The ideal candidate will have experience in the overhead line construction industry, strong project management skills, and excellent communication abilities, contributing to a team-oriented environment.

Reporting to: Project Manager
Role purpose
The Project Engineer will be responsible for supporting the Project Manager through tendering, planning, developing and delivering Overhead Line and Substation projects ensuring the highest standards of health & safety, environmental and quality whilst ensuring productivity is achieved at all times.
The jobholder will be working on site full time as part of an experienced team setting to work and leading teams and subcontractors to meet project objectives. They will be expected to travel to various site locations throughout the UK.

The jobholder will be responsible for the safety of themselves and colleagues, and act as ambassador for a strong safety culture within Omexom. This role can be challenging, and therefore the jobholder will be required to respond quickly to changing situations. At Omexom we aim to provide the best possible service to our customers. In addition, the role will involve working outdoors in a site environment in all weather conditions.
