Job summary
A leading logistics firm is seeking a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Hoddesdon, England. The role involves hands-on engineering to ensure smooth operations of the logistics system and performing maintenance on equipment. We are a globally operating logistics/automation company based in a well‑known retailer’s automated distribution centre in Hertfordshire. We seek a multi‑skilled Maintenance Engineer with strong electrical skills to support our engineering team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Salary of c£56k + Bonus (c£4k)
- Panama shift pattern (12 hour days and nights) (6-6)
- 24 Shifts per year holiday
- 6% match Pension

- Deliver hands‑on engineering to support the logistics system running smoothly.
- Perform reactive and planned maintenance on plant and equipment.
- Keep maintenance records up to date using CMMS.
- Follow safety and repair best practices at all times.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and cost‑saving initiatives.
- Ideally fully apprentice trained with Level 3 engineering qualifications.
- Good level of electrical and mechanical knowledge from a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Working knowledge of PLC control systems, desirably Siemens S7.
- Experience of automated materials handling systems is an advantage.
- Willingness to work a shift pattern with days and nights.
- Ability to work at heights (via harnesses and training).
