A leading infrastructure firm is seeking an Underground Networks Civil Engineer to support the Net Zero Teesside project in Redcar. The role involves implementing engineering strategies, managing resources, and ensuring quality assurance. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in engineering, management experience, and strong interpersonal skills. Benefits include a competitive salary, generous leave, and a company car.
Balfour Beatty plc invites applications for the Underground Networks Civil Engineer role. Following the company’s legacy of delivering world‑class infrastructure, we are now focused on the Net Zero Teesside (NZT) project based at our site in Redcar and Cleveland – a first‑of‑a‑kind, fully integrated gas‑fired power station with carbon capture and storage that will drive Teesside toward the UK’s first decarbonised industrial cluster.
As part of the NZT project, you will support the senior project team in implementing the engineering strategy and framework. Your responsibilities include steering collaboration with customers, suppliers and technical consultants, and ensuring designs are accurately delivered within budget and compressed licensing timelines. You will also champion safety, quality, and financial performance, leading audits, coaching teams, and adopting digital tools to foster continuous improvement.
