Job summary

A healthcare provider is seeking a Clinical Technologist (Dosimetrist) in Shrewsbury to join a dynamic team focused on delivering innovative radiotherapy services. The role involves supporting treatment planning, fabricating patient immobilisation devices, and engaging in continuous improvement efforts. Candidates should have a relevant degree and proven experience in the Radiotherapy environment. This position offers a salary between £38,682 to £46,580 per annum.

Qualifications

  • Proven post‑qualification experience as a Clinical Technologist in Radiotherapy Physics Treatment Planning.
  • Extensive experience in a Radiotherapy environment.
  • Experience of Varian Treatment machines and TPS.

Responsibilities

  • Support treatment planning and mould room services.
  • Fabricate patient immobilisation devices.
  • Participate in quality/service and process improvement initiatives.

Skills

Professional dosimetry knowledge
Understanding of radiotherapy
Good understanding of TPS and mould-room techniques
Complex treatment planning (VMAT, SABR)

Education

BSc/MSc in Clinical Technology (Radiotherapy Physics)
Registered with RCT or HCPC

Tools

Varian Treatment machines
Varian TPS (Eclipse)
