Contract duration: 6 months
Clearance: SC – active SC clearance required
Location: 100% Remote – must be based in the UK
Rate: £426 PAYE / £565 Umbrella (Inside IR35 Day Rate)

Role Overview: We are seeking an Architecture Team Leader to join the UK Architecture Team and lead remote design delivery and team management. The role requires full remote collaboration, strong architectural expertise, and an active SC clearance.

  1. Lead design vision and conceptual development for a diverse portfolio of architectural projects.
  2. Manage and mentor a remote design team, fostering collaboration with consultants and contractors.
  3. Oversee the entire design process from client consultation to construction documentation and site supervision support.
  4. Ensure designs align with client brief, budget, regulatory requirements, and sustainability commitments.
  5. Present design concepts and proposals to client and stakeholder groups.
  6. Collaborate with engineers, consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  7. Champion design innovation and challenge conventional approaches.

Location: Glasgow (remote)—anchor in Glasgow, Scotland, UK
Full remote position enabling high-profile large-scale architectural projects from conceptualisation to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead design vision and conceptual development for prestigious architectural projects (commercial, residential, institutional).
  • Manage and mentor design teams remotely, fostering collaboration.
  • Oversee entire design process from client consultation, feasibility, detailed design, construction documentation, to site supervision support.
  • Ensure designs align with client briefs, budgets, regulatory requirements, and sustainability commitments.
  • Develop and present design concepts and proposals to clients, stakeholders, and review boards.

Location: Leeds, West Midlands, UK – major water programme design excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and own technical strategy and design management plan.
  • Lead design hub, maintain essential documentation and design risk register.
  • Manage design resources, oversee specialist leads (Modelling/Geotech).
  • Continuous improvement through QA audits and design risk register.
  • Provide programme reporting on blue/green solutions, OPEX, carbon.
