Air Export Operator - Hounslow TW8

£13.80 per hour, full time, temp‑to‑perm.

Centric Talent is recruiting a talented Air Export Operative for our client’s air operating centre in Hounslow.

The client provides global supply chain solutions, operating in 170 countries with more than 110,000 employees across 1,300 sites, aiming to become a top 5 global 3PL. They believe employees are key to success and engage a diverse, global team to co‑create value with customers in contract logistics and air, ocean, ground, and finished vehicle transport.

Responsibilities

• Shipment coordination: Plan and manage air freight export shipments according to customer needs, including booking shipments and preparing documentation such as Airway Bills and Shippers Export Declarations.
• Customs documentation: Prepare and submit customs documentation, including export declarations, export licences and other required paperwork to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Customer service: Communicate with Control Towers to provide updates on shipment status, resolve any issues and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Record keeping: Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking and tracing data, and ensure all quality‑control procedures are followed.
• Problem resolution: Address and resolve any shipment irregularities or issues that may occur during transportation.
• Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with relevant laws, regulations and standards, including customs regulations and export procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in air freight operations.
• Knowledge and understanding of export procedures.
• Experience working with CargoWise is advantageous.
• Excellent time‑management and organisational skills, strong communication ability, and problem‑solving and adaptive mindset.

Working Hours

Full‑time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 09:00–18:00 with one additional Saturday every four weeks.
