A leading food company in Andover is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for weekend shifts. This role involves ensuring product quality, safety standards, and compliance with regulations in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities
- Check products for safety, legality, and quality compliance.
- Maintain and calibrate food safety monitoring equipment.
- Ensure compliance with BRC standards.
- Develop and maintain quality procedures with the Production Team.
- Complete regular quality reports.
- Conduct internal audits of products and processes.
- Promote good manufacturing practices.
- Assess finished products against quality attributes.
- Check labelling and date coding compliance.
- Report any non-conformances immediately.
- Assist in identifying root causes of issues.
- Support troubleshooting in the factory.
- Document all related paperwork accurately.
- Implement QMS processes in the factory.
- Support hygienic practices in production.
- Compile product manuals and labelling information.
- Test raw materials and packaging materials.
- Conduct cleaning verification for the EMP.
- Assist in supplier auditing.
- Train new QA team members.
- Provide coverage for departmental absences.
