Job summary
A local government authority is hiring HGV Refuse Drivers in Harrogate. In this role, you will operate large goods vehicles, supervise small crews, and ensure the safe collection of waste. Qualifications
- You must have a Category C driving entitlement / HGV Licence.
- Some knowledge and experience of operating a large goods vehicle.
- Knowledge of safe working practices and general Health and Safety principles.
- A Valid Driver CPC card with a minimum of 3 years validity.
Responsibilities
- Operating o-licence vehicles in and around the county.
- Supervising small crews in your dedicated area.
- Responsible for the safe operation of Large Goods Vehicles (LGV) up to 32t.
- Ensuring the vehicle is clean and in good condition.
- Collecting waste from domestic properties.
- Reporting accidents and acting as the appointed person for first aid.
