You will deliver a high-quality statutory social work service under the Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007, promoting safety, rights, and wellbeing. Your work will focus on risk assessment, intervention, and multi‑agency safeguarding.
- Undertake statutory ASP inquiries and investigations in line with West Lothian Council procedures.
- Assess risk, vulnerability, and protective factors to determine required interventions.
- Lead or contribute to ASP Case Conferences, IRDs, and Core Groups.
- Develop and review Protection Plans, promoting safety, choice, and independence.
- Complete community care assessments under the Social Work (Scotland) Act 1968.
- Prepare, implement, and review care plans for adults with varying needs.
- Monitor care arrangements and respond promptly to changes in risk or circumstances.
- Work collaboratively with health, police, housing, and other partner agencies.
- Maintain accurate case records and provide reports for multi‑agency forums.
- Participate in multi‑disciplinary meetings and contribute to coordinated support.
- Maintain SSSC registration and engage in ongoing CPD.
