Job summary
A leading healthcare provider in Rochester is seeking a Nursing Manager to oversee unit operations ensuring quality care delivery. The ideal candidate will possess a Nursing Degree, strong leadership and communication skills, and a minimum of three years of clinical experience. Responsibilities include managing staffing levels, patient care plans, and department goals. The position offers a competitive salary range of $85,000.00 - $135,000.00, with additional certifications in nursing required.
Qualifications
- Minimum three years of acute/continuing care clinical experience.
- Proficiency in MDS preferred.
- Registered Nurse certification required.
Responsibilities
- Ensure safe and appropriate staffing levels and communication.
- Support management philosophy and objectives.
- Develop and implement resident care plans.

STATUS: Full-Time
LOCATION: Wegman Family Cottages
DEPARTMENT: PRLC Cottage 1 Nursing
SCHEDULE: 40 hours, Days
- Nursing Degree required, BSN preferred
- Minimum three (3) years acute/continuing care clinical experience
- MDS proficiency preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Daily Management. Ensure safe and appropriate staffing levels and skills during all hours of operation; maintain ongoing communication with staff regarding performance; develop and assess department goals and objectives; act as a resource to department, staff, patients and other department staff and the community
- Leadership. Act as a liaison and facilitate the flow of information; assure completion of incident reports and patient complaints with appropriate follow-up; support and communicate standards of care, management philosophy and objectives; provide input regarding departmental budget for staffing supplies
- Patient Care. Develop the resident care plan and ensure implementation through the interdisciplinary team; develop, implement and evaluate in conjunction with Senior Director of a department Quality Improvement Plan
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
- RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)
- BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)
PAY RANGE: $85,000.00 - $135,000.00
