A leading logistics firm in Coventry is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to handle store deliveries and trunking. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and a valid HGV 1/C+E licence, with pay rates ranging from £16.25 to £23.99 per hour. Consolidated Pay Rates (Paid Weekly). £16.25 - £23.99 per hour. Various shift patterns & adhoc work available with various start times.
- Trunking, general haulage and store deliveries.
- Conducting pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs to ensure roadworthiness.
- Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and other necessary paperwork in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Following all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to health and safety regulations.
Our perfect worker will have excellent communication skills and be able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and be able to report defects correctly.
- Applicants must comply with on‑site health and safety requirements.
- Comply with driver’s hours and WTD legislation.
- Hold a valid HGV 1/C+E licence, DCPC & Tacho cards.
- Have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience with no more than 6 points and no DD/DR code convictions.
