About The Role

This role sits within Compliance, providing regulatory advice and supporting the annual compliance monitoring plan.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct regulatory horizon scanning and assess impact of new regulations
  • Work with project teams to ensure product and service changes comply with FCA rules
  • Provide balanced and practical advice on new regulations
  • Translate regulatory requirements into actionable internal policies
  • Play a key role in Product Governance framework
  • Support Design teams in creating compliant journeys and functionality
  • Champion customer‑focused culture and provide pragmatic advice on Consumer Duty
  • Support teams with compliance and regulatory advice, ensuring the Compliance team is viewed positively
  • Support delivery of the Compliance Monitoring Plan, reviewing and reporting on key processes
  • Monitor key conduct MI for signs of issues and advise on changes to improve outcomes
  • Lead training sessions and workshops to promote compliance awareness among staff
What You'll Need To Succeed

Essential:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a regulated financial services environment
  • Expertise in regulatory and compliance requirements for consumer credit lenders
  • Ability to interpret, communicate plainly and apply complex regulatory requirements (CONC, SYSC, Consumer Duty, etc.)
  • Experience in fintech or a similarly fast‑paced environment
  • High attention to detail and professional problem‑solving approach

Desirable:

  • Experience in non‑prime lenders
  • Working knowledge of the AML framework and regulatory/legal requirements
  • Relevant professional qualification (ICA, ACAMS or similar)
