Education
Location: Cottonwood Care Home, Ashford, Alabama
- Week 1: 7pm-7am – Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday
- Week 2: 7pm-7am – Monday, Thursday, Friday
Base pay: $14.00/hr with a $2.00 shift differential.
Position performs various patient care activities to meet the personal needs and comfort of the clients, while promoting a safe and therapeutic milieu. Staff is expected to teach basic living skills to clients daily and perform various functions within the facility. This is an "awake" position; therefore, no sleeping is permitted while on duty.
- Various activities to meet consumer needs including meal preparation, cleaning of the facility, assisting with daily tasks, etc.
- Teaching group and individual basic living skills
- Providing transportation using system vehicle when required by the program
- Ensuring efficient operation of the facility
- Assisting with medication using the MAC certification under nurse supervision
- Completing required documentation using an electronic health record system
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be 21 years or older, have a good MVR, and be willing to submit to a motor vehicle report check
- Must be willing to submit to a pre‑employment background check and drug screen
- Must obtain CPR and MAC certification upon hire
- Preferred: previous experience providing patient care in a mental‑health or substance‑abuse treatment environment
