A Facilities Management provider in Liverpool is seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Technician to support operations at Clatterbridge Cancer Centre. Purpose of Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Technician with a mechanical bias to join our dedicated team at the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre. This is a key role supporting the safe and efficient operation of a highly specialised healthcare environment.

Job Description

As part of our on-site maintenance team, you will carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repair works across a wide range of building services systems, ensuring minimal disruption to patient care and clinical operations.

Responsibilities
  • Perform PPM tasks in line with the maintenance schedule and contractual requirements.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to reactive maintenance requests and breakdowns.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
  • Support the management team in ensuring statutory compliance and maintaining high standards of safety.
  • Assist in mentoring junior team members and maintaining service documentation.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and colleagues to deliver efficient and professional service.
Essential Qualifications/Skills
  • Recognised qualification in a mechanical discipline (e.g. City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role, ideally within a healthcare or complex building environment.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems, pumps, valves, and general mechanical plant.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems desirable.
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and teamworking skills.
