Our global community has grown to over 57,500 Volunteers across 146 countries, helping hundreds of startups—primarily in the UK and USA—scale sustainably.

This is not a traditional corporate L&D role.

We don’t need decades of experience.
We don’t need someone who has worked in a formal training department.

You will help shape the foundations of our new L&D function. Tasks may include:

• Creating simple, clear training materials for various teams
• Turning “messy” information into organised documentation
• Mapping out processes and building easy-to-follow guides
• Collaborating with team leaders to understand their workflows
• Structuring onboarding journeys for new volunteers
• Helping us understand which training areas matter most
• Building processes that can scale across a global volunteer organisation

You may be a strong fit if you:

• Love simplifying things and bringing order to confusion
• Communicate with warmth, clarity, and enthusiasm
• Can explain complex ideas in simple ways
• Are curious, self-directed, and proactive
• Feel excited about building something that doesn’t exist yet
• Have created any kind of documentation, SOP, onboarding guide, or training materials before (professionally or personally)

You don’t need to be an expert. You do need a genuine passion for learning and enabling others.

• HR or training students
• Early-career professionals wanting hands‑on experience
• Anyone who enjoys turning complexity into clarity
• Volunteers who want ownership, creativity, and real impact

We are especially interested in volunteers who can give us examples of:

• Creating structure where none existed
• Explaining something complex in a simple, engaging way
• Writing or improving documentation
• Taking initiative and ownership without waiting for instructions
• Learning new domains quickly and turning them into clear guides

Enthusiasm, clarity, and curiosity matter more than your résumé.

• 3 hrs. per day Monday to Friday
• Part‑time
• Fully remote

• Building an L&D function from the ground up
• Documentation, instructional design, and process creation
• Working cross‑functionally with distributed teams
• Understanding how learning supports productivity and operations
• Creating real, tangible learning tools that help hundreds of volunteers

Once a satisfactory outcome is delivered, we will:

• Provide a testimonial against your profile on SkilledUp Life.
• Provide a testimonial for LinkedIn that can also be added to your CV/Resume.
• Allow you to add SkilledUp Life Company Name to your LinkedIn Profile.
