At Scopely, we care deeply about what we do and want to inspire play every day - whether in our work environments alongside our talented colleagues or through our deep connections with our communities of players. We are a global team of game lovers who are developing, publishing and innovating the mobile games industry, connecting millions of people around the world daily.

Monopoly GO! is our new casual game and a key franchise that has just become Scopely’s largest game, enjoyed by millions of players. The team is based in Europe and the US, and works every day to create captivating new experiences for our players.

What You Will Do

As the Director of Trust & Safety, you will lead a high-performing team dedicated to ensuring player integrity, security, and confidence across our games and services. You will be responsible for shaping and executing strategies that protect players from cheating, fraud, and account compromise, while fostering a fair and safe gameplay environment.

This is a highly cross-functional leadership role that blends technical expertise, operational excellence, and strategic thinking to safeguard our player ecosystem and support the company’s mission to deliver trusted, world-class experiences.

  • Lead and Mentor a Team of Experts: Build and scale a multidisciplinary Trust & Safety organization with deep expertise in anti-cheat, account security, content moderation and fraud prevention.
  • Drive Counter-Cheating Excellence: Oversee the design, integration, and continuous improvement of anti-cheat systems, collaborating with engineering teams and external partners to stay ahead of evolving threats.
  • Protect Player Accounts: Develop strategies and technologies to prevent account theft, compromise, and unauthorized access while ensuring seamless user experiences.
  • Run Key Tech Partnerships: Manage strategic relationships with SaaS and security providers, anti-fraud systems, and merchants of record, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices.
  • Shape Policy and Process: Define and optimize moderation, fraud detection, and player safety processes to ensure consistent, scalable, and ethical enforcement across platforms.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Operations teams to deliver robust trust and safety measures that balance risk mitigation with player satisfaction.
  • Own Business Outcomes: Operate proactively to identify emerging risks, deliver solutions efficiently, and ensure the Trust & Safety function is a strategic enabler for growth and reputation.
What We're Looking For
  • Technical expertise:
  • Strong engineering background with experience in anti-cheat engine design or integration.
  • Proven knowledge of account security systems and video game account management.
  • Familiarity with SaaS management, third-party integrations, and external frontline operations.
  • Operational and strategic drive:
  • Demonstrated ability to design and execute multifaceted and scalable safety programs.
  • Deep understanding of fraud prevention techniques and moderation tools.
  • Strong grasp of the trust and safety ecosystem, including key providers and merchant of record solutions.
  • Leadership and business skills:
  • Strategic thinker who operates with urgency, delivers results, and drives proactive solutions.
  • Experienced people leader capable of building and guiding a high-impact team.
  • Skilled in navigating a matrixed organisation and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
  • 10+ years of experience in Trust & Safety, Security, or related technical operations roles, with at least 5 years in leadership.
  • Background in gaming, online platforms, or consumer technology environments.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and executive audiences.
