We are looking for qualified Non‑Medical Prescribers (NMP) with a keen interest in supporting people experiencing problematic alcohol or drug use. This role joins our integrated substance misuse service as Via continues its investment in a core clinical leadership team and a multidisciplinary workforce.

• Demonstrate advanced clinical assessment and prescribing knowledge to initiate opiate substitution therapy and/or alcohol treatment and recovery.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team of registered health‑care professionals and non‑clinical staff, including recovery practitioners, clinical admin support, healthcare support workers and peer support workers.
• Use clinical judgement to assess suitability for non‑pharmacological and evidence‑based psychosocial interventions.
• Conduct regular clinical reviews in line with evidence‑based best practice guidelines.
• Oversee clinical harm reduction programmes (e.g. take‑home naloxone), treatment clinics (e.g. Buprenorphine), and yearly immunisation programmes.
• Advocate for our IP workforce by promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous growth through learning.
• Receive support from day one, including maintenance of a clinical portfolio of development, contribution to Via’s innovation and research, participation in clinical forums and communities of practice, attendance at prescribing updates and network across the sector.
