A public infrastructure organization is looking for a Principal Engineer (Highway Structures - Bridges) to oversee asset management strategies and ensure the safety and performance of nearly 900 bridges. The role requires a Chartered Civil Engineer with substantial experience in engineering design and people management. The ideal candidate will contribute to the Trust’s strategic goals and engage in inspections and risk management. We are currently recruiting for a Principal Engineer (Highway Structures - Bridges). The Principal Engineer (Highway Structures) is a key role in the Asset Management Team responsible for delivering specialist technical engineering expertise to the Trust for its nearly 900 owned and maintained Public Road Bridges. The role will help the Trust develop an optimised Asset Management Plan for long-term investment in the operation and maintenance of Highway Structures and will oversee their management.
The vacancy is offered on a remote working basis, with a requirement to attend main hub spaces as and when required. Regular travel across the network will be required.
