A welcoming educational institution in the United Kingdom is seeking a friendly School Receptionist to provide essential support and a warm welcome to students, parents, and visitors. The successful candidate will handle communications, maintain office functionality, and assist in promoting a positive school atmosphere. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, punctuality, and a high standard of personal presentation. Ongoing professional development and benefits, including participation in the Local Government Pension Scheme, are part of the offer.
We are looking for a friendly, organised and professional School Receptionist to join our lovely school admin team. You will be the first point of contact for pupils, parents, staff and visitors coming to the school in the mornings so you will play a vital role in creating a warm and positive welcome to the school.
The role is for 15 hours per week (8.30am to 11.30am) daily, in term time.
We expect all members of our school staff to continue with professional development and to seek opportunities to increase their knowledge and skill. The school is fully committed to continued professional development and expects all staff to undertake training as and when required. You will also be able to join the Local Government Pension Scheme and work alongside an experienced, caring and happy school team.
We strongly encourage informal visits to the school prior to application. Come and meet us to see if this is somewhere you could see yourself working! Contact the Business Manager to arrange a convenient time. We reserve the right to close the vacancy early should a suitable candidate be identified early in the application process.
Whitstable & Seasalter Endowed Church of England (Aided) Junior School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This is underpinned by robust processes and procedures that seek to maximise opportunity, minimise risk and continuously promote a culture of safeguarding amongst our workforce. All successful applicants will be required to complete an enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service and check against the ISA Barred List for children. Appointed staff are also expected to follow a robust Code of Conduct in accordance with our church school’s Christian Values.
