A leading construction company in England is seeking a Social Sustainability Manager to oversee projects in the North East. This role focuses on promoting employment, education, and community support through social mobility initiatives. The position requires strong skills in stakeholder management and a solid understanding of social sustainability principles. Candidates should have a degree or equivalent experience, along with proficiency in MS Office and excellent communication skills. Reporting to the Head of Social Sustainability the post will be covering projects across the North East region. The role will involve a mixture of working from our offices in Leeds or Newcastle, from home and on project sites across the North East.
Your work will enable the delivery of Social Mobility activity (employment, education and training), Foundational Economy activity (investment in social business and the local economy and volunteering) and Social Inclusion activity (community support and EDI training). You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to plan, promote, deliver, monitor and report on BAM's social sustainability.
The role will involve a mixture of working from our office, from home and on project site. Hybrid flexible working arrangements are encouraged and actively supported.
