Our client is looking to appoint a smart, motivated individual a Senior Energy Analyst. The Senior Analyst will be exposed to a wide range of projects in the energy field, including renewable energy, energy efficiency, electric vehicles and smart grids. This role aims to provide technical and economic skills to the energy team. The candidate must have a passion for the South African renewable energy market and be interested in travelling around the world.

Build and maintain key relationships between actors across the value chain
Grow our understanding of the space, identify, and unlock barriers to investments
Provide key industry players with valuable and objective market insights with the aim of unlocking investment opportunities and creating jobs.
Meet with various industry players to unlock jobs and investments.
Participate in industry events and a variety of government forums,
Contribute to relevant sector projects and research reference groups.
Promote market opportunities through the development of viable business cases for investment.
Data Gathering & dissemination.
Collect data and analyse market research for targeted dissemination
Gather and disseminate information required by investors to make informed investment decisions.
Compiles, analyses, and reports data to explain subject phenomena and forecast trends
Develop relationships to access data resources.
Project Delivery & Reporting
Project Manage both internal and external projects and resources
Meeting Project deliverables and milestones
Technical Expertise in Sector
First point of call for responses to sectoral queries from external stakeholders
Provides insights and knowledge for current partners and potential new investors in area of specialisation
Performs sector data analytics using input from a variety of data sources
Input into annual sectoral Market Intelligence Reports [MIRs]
Contributes technical intelligence to projects as required
Provides formal comment to national, provincial, and local authorities on draft policies and legislation
This is a full-time contract position, until 31 March 2025. This contract may be renewed to a longer duration subject to standard contracting conditions. Contract renewal will depend on performance and the organizational requirements at the time. There will be a three-month probation period for this position
Remuneration will be market-related, as our client is a not-for-profit organisation. Medical aid is offered as an employee benefit (subject to some conditions).
