Purpose Of The Job

In keeping with the Organisation’s strive for excellence in strategy execution, digital transformation, innovation, technology delivery and risk management we looking to true-up the internal Cyber Security Team. For us to deliver on the Group’s future aspirations and beyond, there is a need to build out Cyber Security Services. The role of the Information Security Specialist is beyond ticking compliance boxes, however the strategy demands enabling operational and business efficiencies.

Overview

Education

• Matric – Essential
• Degree in Technology, Business Management -Essential
• Masters/Management Degree - Advantageous
• Cybersecurity Certificate in Security Operations – Essential
  
  

Experience – 7 Years Minimum To 10 Years Maximum Required

• Technical ability to work across cyber security technology landscape i.e. from the endpoint to the CLOUD.
• Defines and establish directives, ensure standards & processes are defined and meets regulatory requirements and business needs.
• Read Cyber security plan and strategy and execute delivery based on CISO Strategy,
• Advise on tactical initiative to reduce cyber risk Key performance areas
  
  

Information Security And Technical Operations

• Knowledge Sharing, Designing and implementing innovative cyber security enabling technologies
• Continually improve security and governance process to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the controls, with primary focus on logical access controls
• Continually improve system capabilities to increase uptime and availability through system integration and process re-design, resulting in less downtime and improving SLA's
• Provide SME input into IT and Security roadmaps and future landscapes through the architecture teams as well as ensure security and governance in current designs
• Co-ordinate Security vendors and internal operational teams to ensure both internal and external SLA's are being met, including Incident Management of Severity 1 and 2 incidents
• Configuration, installation, and support of all Technology and Cyber Security enabling technologies
• Developing and maintaining up to date AS-IS documentation of the solutions
• Developing user training for Cyber Security controls and the enabling technologies as required
• Performing regular tests to confirm optimal working conditions of implemented configurations
• Managing, monitoring, and reporting of performance and other issues
• Perform/Automating daily system integrity checks
• Responding to inquiries to provide technical assistance and support

• Risk review of the various portfolios, identification, mitigating actions and ensuring actions are implemented to prevent exposure. Business continuity.
• Review of various portfolios and ensure there are continuity plans in place so that business is not disrupted. People management.
