Community Maternity Support Worker – Complex Care
Job summary
A healthcare provider in Basildon is seeking a Complex Care Maternity Support Worker to join their Community Midwifery Team. This role involves providing compassionate care to women and families, focusing on vulnerable populations and bridging language and cultural barriers. Candidates should have NVQ level 3 or 4, experience in phlebotomy, and a driving license. This is a full-time position, offering a salary of £24,937 per annum, with responsibilities including liaising with community services and providing support through the maternity journey.
Qualifications
- Experience of phlebotomy and newborn bloodspots.
- Experience working in community services or similar.
- Evidence of IT competency and use of systems.
Responsibilities
- Support midwives in delivering integrated maternity services.
- Provide information and education on infant feeding and maternal health.
- Act as a key point of contact for advice and signposting.
