Vocal Section Leader, QUORUS Chorus
Job summary
A community chorus organization in Newport is looking for enthusiastic vocal leaders to serve as Section Leaders for their QUORUS ensemble. Responsibilities include attending rehearsals, leading singers vocally, and performing in concerts throughout the year. Candidates should have previous choral experience, good communication skills, and the ability to read music. Compensation includes a choice between a weekly stipend or volunteer hours, ranging from $19.50 to $22.50 per rehearsal, and $50 per concert. Applications from diverse backgrounds are encouraged.
Qualifications
- Enthusiastic, joyful, reliable, and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work collaboratively and be a positive role model.
- Previous choral experience is required, along with a positive recommendation.
Responsibilities
- Attend all QUORUS rehearsals.
- Participate in all QUORUS performances (4-6/year).
- Provide musical and vocal leadership for singers.
