Job summary

A major UK food group based in Kirkconnel is seeking a Technical Leader to oversee food safety and compliance for their pork processing operations. The successful candidate will focus on team development, drive continuous improvement, and ensure all regulations are met. Required qualifications include a relevant degree, HACCP certification, and experience in technical management within food manufacturing. The role offers the chance to significantly impact operations in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of BRC v9, retailer COPs, and technical systems.
  • Experience within a technical management/quality leadership role in food manufacturing.
  • Excellent people-management skills and ability to motivate and develop teams.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure BRC v9, legislation, and customer codes are met and exceeded.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate the technical team.
  • Maintain and develop the Quality Management System.
  • Identify trends, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Oversee internal/external audits.
