Role Overview

As a Planner you will be responsible for supporting the successful completion of projects by creating, amending, and updating detailed programmes. This role involves coordinating various project elements, ensuring commercial awareness, and operational effectiveness throughout the project lifecycle.

A key aspect of this role is to collaborate and work closely with internal and external stakeholders including the Project Manager, Construction Manager, Commercial team, in-house design team, wider team members and clients to extract critical information and communicate potential changes and obstacles to the programme, allowing for the timely resolution of issues and the alignment of everyone’s efforts toward common project goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • General Programme Management including development of initial programmes based on first principles.
  • Prepare and present contract programs for tender submissions.
  • Analyse, review, and recommend main contract programs post-contract award.
  • Conduct full labor, plant, and material scheduling for the workforce.
  • Commercial and Change Control including analysing potential risks and developing contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.
  • Client Engagement including participating in pre-tender meetings, providing status updates and supporting bids.
  • Generating and distribute reports on project schedules, progress, and performance indicators.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Proven experience in a similar role within Construction
  • Ideally degree qualified
  • Ideally engineering background but not essentialli>
  • Ideally exposure to self-delivery business but not essential
  • An ability to thrive in fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in planning software and the Microsoft Office Suite is expected.
